Naneghat  trekking, difficulty level and route is very easy to achieve. naneghat is a mountain at a height of 2800 feet. This trek starts from a village called Vaishakhare, a little further from Murbad. Naneghat is located in Junnar taluka of Pune. The name Naneghat means "Nane" meaning coin and "ghat" means pass. There was a toll booth where toll was collected from traders crossing the hill. The inscriptions in the caves show that the Mauryan Empire and the Satavahana dynasty ruled.

It is learned that this was the main road leading to Junnar by the Satavahanas. This was the main route connecting Kalyan and Sopara during their tenure. Like Naneghat, Malshej Ghat and Bor Ghat were also important roads links for commuting coast to the Junnar plateau. They were then destroyed by outside rulers and ignored.

At the beginning of Naneghat trekking you have to walk a bit and then the actual climb starts. The Naneghat trek is of medium quality and very easy. Going to the top, you see some beautiful and mind-blowing natural beauty. It takes minimum 1.30 to 2 hours to complete this trek. We can do this trek anytime of the year.
